Spring 2007: "Traditional Plaster Repair" taught by Bill MacArthur, co-sponsored by Boaz and Ruth, the Jackson Foundation, APVA Preservation Virginia, and the John Marshall Foundation. Plaster Bill Macarthur instructed five students in the fundamentals of plaster repair over two weeks. The students worked on two historic buildings: the John Marshall House in downtown Richmond and the Meadowbridge Road Fire Station in Highland Park.
Winter 2007: "Historic Window Fabrication" taught by David Niles Armington of Second Century Preservation, co-sponsored by Boaz and Ruth and the Jackson Foundation. This two-week class was the second in a series, following the successful summer of 2006 class in window repair. Both classes were held at the historic Meadowbridge Road Fire Station, which is listed on the National Register. Carpenter David Armington instructed ten students in how to build historically accurate replacement windows.
